As a professional horticulturalist, I’ve worked for the National Trust, the Royal Horticultural Society and the University of York in a career spanning 30 years.
I took a creative leap of faith in 2018 and I’m delighted to have been providing flowers for all occasions ever since.

At Master Debonair, our story is rooted in a heartfelt journey that began in November 2015. The inspiration behind our founding is deeply personal; our founder, Simon Whitaker, sought the perfect accessories to honor his beloved father, Bob, during a difficult time. After a heartfelt search for distinctive men’s accessories in Newcastle, Simon realized there was a gap in the market. Driven by his vision to offer quality and style in every detail, Master Debonair was born.

Starting his barbering journey in 2020, Martyn used the pandemic to invest in himself and completely change career paths from civil servant to full time barber. It didn’t take Martyn long to develop the necessary skills to a shop floor standard and he has spent time honing his skills as a mobile barber and in shops in York, Leeds and at RAF Leeming (no, it’s not all buzz cuts and clean shaves!).

CPW Chauffeur Services is run by Colin who served as a Police Constable in North Yorkshire Police for 30 years, retiring in September 2015. Since then, he has combined his personal protection experience and love of driving to offer an impeccable first class service. Colin wanted to put all the skills and experiences he had accrued in the Police and take on a new challenge which he has done in the form of his Chauffeur Company, CPW Chauffeur Services, about which he is extremely passionate – aiming to deliver the same high quality service to new clients as he provided to Royalty and Heads of State.
